Just when we thought winter was over…
At first, came the snow. It fell all night and all day, the sky was a constant muted, milky grey, as if it was a soft down quilt. Everything disappeared under a blanket of white. It was like being in Austria, or Canada, or some other place that gets dumped with snow each winter. We got used to trudging through it, shin-deep, to get around outside and dressing in a few dozen layers against the bitter cold.
And even after the snow stopped, it stayed. For over a week, since the temperatures didn’t bother to get above zero. Luckily though, it was sunny. Real, proper sun, with summer-esque blue skies, which would trick you into believing it was warmer than it was. Everything glistened, and sparkled. A winter wonderland cliche, come to life.
Prune wasn’t too sure, Suzi loved it, her face in a constant smile as she ran through the powder, following scents, leaving her own paw prints.
It was beautiful, brutal, and a welcome change from the regular, almost like going on a mini-vacation, without having to even leave the house. Not bad for these strange times, then.
Great photos. You’ve had your share of different seasons in the past few weeks!
thats for sure xx
Captured the wonderland superbly, great to see Prunie and Suezie enjoying the snow and had some Funtime.
