It’s been a while since a Bru update, so here we are. It’s winter, it’s cold, there is frost some mornings and ice quite often. I never used to like it, but I’ve grown fonder of this season over the years. I enjoy its peace, and calm, the grey skies that seem to invite quiet reflection. The hush on a clear starry morning, the wind through the masts of the sailboats, the robins that flit about the garden. How the skies are muted; grey and lavender, and seem to fade with the evening light.
We had a tiny bit of snow, well, quite a lot when it came but it didn’t last long at all. Still, the monkeys really enjoyed it; Suzi raced around the garden in awe, and even Prune sniffed all over. Watching them have so much fun really made my winter.
Although it never gets as cold here as places further north, winter is still a welcome pause, a break from the chaos and colour of the other seasons.
They say more cold weather is on the way, so winter is probably not over yet! Love from all of us, in Bru xx
