Beyond Bergen

February 10, 2020

It is kind of funny writing a post about Bergen, from Bangalore. But its been a week since I left. Driving away with mum, I commented that it was a bit like when I left Aberdeen; the car filled up with my stuff, and me feeling not so sad to be leaving. I’m not too good at sticking in one place, it seems.

Bye, to the sunrises over the pointy houses. Biking back over the moonlit cobbles, after the long days. The cows, whom I’d stop by to see, on those long May mornings, grazing in deep green pasture. The forests of falling autumn leaves. The beach, where I’d wrap up warm and watch the sunset, on clear, winter evenings. To my classroom, with the river view and walls full of colorful displays.

There’s a lot more I could say, but the hard feelings are gone. I learned a lot, and that is always valuable.

Sitting here looking out over the rooftops, in Bangalore, golden evening sun on my skin, birds flying across a tropical sky, it already feels a million miles away.

Greetings from Bangalore! Coming here has really helped me move on and forget, but I still thought I should ‘wrap-up’ Bergen with some pretty photos! I’ll have a post about our recent train adventure soon, too. xx

What gorgeous photos. You learn something from all your experiences – you know that you are a teacher who inspires your students, you enjoy being in the classroom and there are many worlds to look forward to…and when you are ready…you will find “the” place or “the” many places!!

Very eye catching , interesting pictures, good way to wrap up.!! You take your experiences to the classroom and that will inspire the students and learn the way you look at things and appreciate the nature’s abundance wealth. Wish you good luck in your search and be positive that you will find a right place soon.
